History Behind Issue: Continued from issue #47.

Plot: The Surfer and Drax race to Titan. Surfer suddenly stops and tells Drax to continue. He will meet him on Titan after he warns Earth heroes. He takes off, but not to Earth. He meets up with Nova and tells her he will have words alone with Galactus. He then flies off and approaches him demanding to know if he is guilty for alterations to his soul. Galactus admits that he made some alterations in order for the noble Norrin to serve him better. Furious, the Silver Surfer requests Galactus to undo what he did. Galactus does so, and Norrin passes out from a hallucination of being drowned in blood. Galactus awakens him and asks if he wants the change to be undone, but the Silver Surfer is adamant about dealing with this burden on his soul on his own. He takes off towards Earth warning Galactus about Thanos. As soon as the Silver Surfer disappears, Galactus' cosmic senses detect Thanos and he demands Thanos appear. Thanos does giving him a warning that he not meddle in the future affairs about to happen. He then displays his power by causing the planet Galactus was about to devour to disappear. Galactus vows he will meet up with the Titan again. Meanwhile, in soul world, Warlock announces to the other inhabitants that he has chosen to join the struggle as a wild card against Thanos.

Continued in issue #49.

Comments: Excellent story continuing this arc. Everything was thought out and handled very well. You get a little of everything in this story. You learn of Galactus' alterations to Norrin's soul, you get some Thanos interaction with Galactus, and you get to see continual development as Adam Warlock chooses to join the struggle. Very solid. The art is done well, aswell. Lots of nice scenes done with the Silver Surfer drowning in
blood. Galactus drawn in majestic fashion.
